Hellooo! You have arrived at our humble little
tribute to the actress Tamsin Greig who plays Fran
in 'Black Books', Dr Caroline Todd
in 'Green Wing' and Debbie Aldridge
in the BBC4 Radio Show 'The Archers'.
We've got information about all those shows, photos,
quotes, links and episode details for you to browse
through. We are aware that Tamsin would probably loath
the idea of someone taking the time to make a website
about her, so we would just like to assure you that
this site was made exclusively on rainy days when
there was nothing good on the telly. The rest assimilated
itself in the dark chasms of cyberspace as an inevitable
result of the shear volume of Tamsin, Black Books
and Green Wing appreciators online. |
| Aaaaaanyway. We think she is great. Enjoy the site.
Then go outside and play in the fresh air. xxxx |

- At the Royal Television Society Awards
last week Tamsin triumphed over the guys from Little
Britain to win Best Comedy Performance for her work
on Green Wing! HUGE CONGRATULATIONS!
Also, more details on 'Love Soup'.
Tamsin's character's name is Alice Chenery and American
actor Michael Landes from Final Destination 2 is also
listed in the cast - most likely playing the other half
of the central couple. |

- The BBC have put together a new Doctor Who
mini-series that should premiere on UK TV sometime this
March. Tamsin has a role in the 7th episode of the series:
The Long Game. Simon Pegg is also listed as a cast member
in this episode and award winning British actor Christopher
Eccleston will be playing The Doctor throughout the
series. |

- Tamsin has been given her own BBC TV show. The six-part
series, titled 'Love Soup', follows
the lives of a perfectly-matched couple who have yet
to meet, and is being written by the team behind One
Foot In The Grave and Jonathan Creek. Writer David Renwick
told The Mirror, "Week by week we explore their
separate lives - lives that unhappily do not intersect,
but which parallel each other in many subtle ways. We
observe their hopes and fears as they try to remain
sane in a world from which they each feel increasingly
excluded. We see their doomed attempts to find the definitive
partner who will bring them the happiness they deserve.
Surely fate must put them together. But when has fate
ever been kind?" |

- The Radio Times's 2005 Comedy Top 50 voted Tamsin
19th funniest person currently working in UK comedy.
Channel 4's Director Kevin Lygo said, "Tamsin Greig
is a rarity among performers, in that she combines comic
timing and a comedienne's sensibilities with an actress's
genuine range and emotional depth. All that and gorgeous
to boot. Endlessly watchable." |

- New Neverwhere screencaps added with
huge thanks to Annemarie. Damn that show was so awesome.
Check out how funky and truly terrifying Tamsin is as
gothic girl Lamia. Paterson Joseph (aka Green Wing's
Lyndon) as The Marquis De Carabas too. I had totally
forgotten he was in it. Most excellent. |

- The British Comedy Awards were very dull indeed. Green
Wing didn't win anything in the end, but lots
of cast members were in the audience. If you sat through
the whole thing to see them, you have my sympathy. Eugh.
Just awful. Yay for Little Britain though. 'Computer
says no.' |

- Latest news suggests that Green Wing
Box Set may not be available until August of 2005! But
hopes are that it will contain lots of commentaries,
deleted scenes and lovely other extra features...so
hopefully worth waiting for. |

- The last Episode of Green Wing was
broadcast on Channel 4 this evening. Alas. We shall
miss it so. But fear not! A second series has indeed
been commissioned and I'm sure a stunning DVD of the
first series will emerge at some point in the not to
distant future. |

- Check out what I found! It's a bizarre little Short
Film called 'Cheese
Makes You Dream' that features Tamsin (with
stunning long locks I might add) as a manipulative door
to door sales person that gets more than she bargained
for in the form of a lonely old dude she is trying to
con. It is an odd little piece of work, but it's online
and you can watch it for free right here. |

- Series Three of Black Books is now
available to buy on DVD in the UK. Ooooh yes. It has
also been released in a spanking new collectors edition
that combines all three series in a swanky little black
cover. So, if you never got around to buying the first
two series, you can now go get the whole lot in one
neat little package. |
